Go Belles!

To all Flagler County SynchroBelles Parents and Swimmers,
The Board of the Flagler County Synchro Belles wanted to provide an update on this past weekends event in Cocoa Beach. The 2016 event was one of the most successful hosted events in recent years in terms of swimmer attendance, event coordination and as a fundraiser for the Flagler County Synchro Belles. The success of these events helps us keep your monthly dues and sponsorship fees in line so we do not have to raise fees each year. We are proud our monthly dues and fees have stayed relatively constant of the past five years. Not many teams can boast to this success!
First, we want to send a huge thank you to all the parents and swimmers who donated their time and goods to make this event such a huge success. In an effort to not miss anyone, but thank you to all the setup and breakdown crew, recorders, timers, basket giveaways, concession, judges, announcers, runners, Herballife concession and Jr. Swimmers who donated their time. Also a special shout out goes to the Cocoa Beach pool managers and life guards, they allowed us extra pool time due to the inclement weather!
A special thank you to these committee chairs who without having their help, this meet could not have gotten off the ground.
Hospitality – Kathy Weed
Concession – Janet Hinman and Kathy Weed
Hotels – Janet Hinman
Scoring and Awards – J. Wadsworth, Ron and Meashell Steinwehr
Store – Dulce Lake
Setup – Greg Hinman
Recorders, Timers and Runners – Ivy Alvarez
Assistant Coaches: Mary Ellen and Carolyne
Finally last but not least, this meet could not have happened without our fearless coach Isabella Vasconcellos! Ask yourself, could you handle coaches, judges, swimmers, teams, pool manager and being a mom, all while coordinating this meet? Next time you see coach, give her a big hug and say thank you! We all need to show our appreciation on how lucky we are to have one of the top coaches in the country leading our team!
For those that did not have a chance to donate their time or resources at this event, our annual water show is tentatively scheduled for JUNE 5th. The board looks forward to all of our parents and swimmers mandatory participation and helping to make this event a continued success!
Again thank you and we wish everyone a successful season!
